Lord willing we will have a safe and fun trip. We do not anticipate any problems. However, when planning a trip like this it is wise to put in place some plans in case of an emergency.

This is the Nation’s Capital. And, while it is one of the safest and most protected places on earth it is also a target. If something unfortunate should happen and we get separated from each other please try your best to do the following.

1. Stay where you are and call John immediately. You can also try Sara, Johanna, and Regis if you are having trouble getting through.

  1. 2.If cell service is down do your best to go to the front entrance of the last place where we were together and wait. We will find you.

  2. 3.If this is not possible because of circumstances then get to a land line as soon as you can and call Jim McIlvaine or Pastor Dan Duis. Explain to them your situation and where you are. We will be in contact with them to coordinate getting to you.

After 4 hours if all communications are down and you are not able to contact anyone then find Route 50 West and proceed out of Washington, DC into the State of Virginia. Continue on Route 50 to Seven Corners, Virginia. Go to Regis and Lydia’s apartment at 3107 Juniper Ln, Falls Church, VA. 22044 or Jim McIlvaine’s office at 6231 Leesburg Pike, Suite 600, Falls Church, VA 22044. These addresses are about 8 miles from Washington, DC. We will be checking these locations on a regular basis.

As I stated Washington, DC is one of our safest and most protected cities especially after 911. So, please don’t worry. It’s just always good to have a plan.
